EPI Says Goodbye to a Team Member

Tony Knowles has been a dedicated member of the EPI team for nine years.
Starting out as a line worker in the the Mancelona plant and finished his time here at the Traverse City plant as Production Supervisor.
Tony played an active role in many key projects over the years, including AEP Fresh Kills Landfill in Staten Island, and the record setting, 37 million sq ft, Columbus Upground in Ohio.
Dan Rohe President of EPI says “early on Tony always had the ability to boost morale and keep work an enjoyable place to be.
Even when things got tough and jobsites were hell, Tony could always maintain a smiling positive attitude.
As Tony has learned new skills and moved up through the ranks at EPI, he’s been a valuable asset to the team.
We’ll miss his good-humored attitude and comical antics, but we won’t miss hearing about his constant poison ivy…”

Giving Back to our Hometown

Traverse City is home to the National Cherry Festival. Every year more than 500,000 attendees enjoy the Festival, which is in its 90th year. This year, two of EPI’s team members participated in the Cherry Tee golf clinic, hosted by

the Grand Traverse Resort and Spa.

“Getting to work with other local Traverse City businesses, as a team was a great part of this event” said Marty Raymond, Sales here at EPI.

Another huge event that takes place here in our home town is the Northwestern Michigan Fair. This event has been around since 1908 and its sole purpose is

celebrating the area’s agriculture and youth programs. This year EPI sponsored Kingsley resident, 9 year old, Rylee Brown. Rylee has been in 4H for four years. He is a 5

th generation farmer and has quite the mechanical mind when it comes to tinkering with things. “My favorite part of having a cow at the fair is the beef jerky!” Rylee says.  When he grows up he wants to join the military.

Good luck Rylee!
